Experience
Digital Designer
Wray Ward, Charlotte NC  •  2020 - 2024
As part of the Digital Platforms team, I was primarily focused on web UX/UI design. Starting by working closely with the client to understand their needs and desires, to spending time with our development team to produce and QA dynamic, user-focused web experiences. Beyond that, I was also responsible for creating and delivering digital ad campaigns and social media assets, helping plan photography and motion elements for clients, as well as working with the traditional creative team on moodboards and presentations for many clients. I regularly handled projects as the sole designer, as well as collaborated with other teammates within and outside my team.

Senior Designer
Alter Imaging, Charlotte NC  •  2015 - 2019
As the lead designer and creative at Alter Imaging, I assisted the project management team with design strategy while developing the information architecture. I met with clients to gain an understanding of their specific project goals. I was responsible for gathering information, creating wireframes and responsive website designs, and then presenting them to clients. I delivered detailed and organized working files and assets to the development team and assisted with making CSS refinements during the QA stages of the development process. I created and refined logo concepts and style guides, and worked with existing brands while adhering to their established brand guidelines. With regularity, I assisted the marketing department in applying design styles to digital and physical marketing campaigns through social media graphics, email design assets, and printed materials.

Senior Designer
Cognition, Charlotte NC  •  2007 - 2015
Starting at Cognition as a junior designer, it was essential for me to learn frontend development. I became the senior designer and frontend developer and eventually the only team member in both roles. My responsibilities in those positions consisted of creating logos, style guides, collateral, packaging design, wireframes, and website designs. I would develop these assets into fully functional frontend websites. When needed, I assisted the backend development team with applying styling. I regularly interacted with clients in presentation meetings and also served a supporting role, updating various content and designs, as well as sourcing and placing orders for printed materials and signage.
